Piping and pipeline engineering
By george a antaki

About the book piping and pipeline engineering:
The first thing discussed in this book is the history of pipeline technology. Starting from mesopotamia until now.
In addition we will study the material in the design digunakaan pipe. Of pipe made from metal material, a mixture of iron and non-metal materials.
After learning about the materials, we will learn about the process of fabrication of the pipe and the damage that occurs due to fabrication processes.
Fabrication process includes:
1. Forging
2. Casting
3. Mechining and finishing
Besides that we also will learn about the properties of materials that includes:
1. Strength
2. Hardness
3. Toughness
In the next chapter or chapter 4, we will learn about the internal pressure. In this chapter will discuss about the pressure design of piping which includes:
1. Thin wall approximation
2. Pipeline design equation
3. Yield and wall thickness
And we will study the design of plant pressure piping which includes:
1. Lames formula
2. Early design equation
3. Piping design
4. Allowable stress
5. Wall thickness allowance
Then we will also study the design of plastic pressure pipe.
Apart from a few things that have been mentioned above, a lot more knowledge about the pipe to be learned from this book. Book in very good for an engineering or engineering students who want to deepen their knowledge about the pipe or pipe design.
